Today Uzhgorod “Ilko Gallery” featuring leading artists and intellectuals of the city opening of the exhibition of works of Slovak fine arts “Landscape Impressions from Zemplin” from the collection of the Art Museum of Zemplinskogo Mihaylovtsi.

At the exhibition presented 91 canvas, 35 authors are mainly Slovak artists, as well as artists from Poland and Ukraine. Besides the works of recognized painters from Slovakia – Stephen Bubalo, Jozsef Grabusha, Robert Rosenberg, Ivan Shafranka, Stefan Makara, Peter certainly other exhibited works and Transcarpathian artists. In particular, the painting of Anton Kassa, Gabriel Gluck, Nicholas Medvetsky, Ludmila Korzh-Radko made by them during the plein air in Zemplinskomu region Slovakia.
Landscape painting is perhaps one of the most popular genres in the temporary section of the history of art, the artists who first displayed as a realistic reproduction of the unprecedented nature of the world. For many of them the landscape eventually became a constant inspiration and the adoption of new ideas.
Grand opening of the opening day was preceded by the performance of children’s folklore group Uzhgorod school number 4 in-depth study of the Slovak language, which carried out a series of incendiary folk songs of the neighboring people, and a greeting word uttered Consul General of Slovakia Janka Burianova and chairman of the Transcarpathian National Union of Artists of Ukraine Boris Kuzma.
This exhibition of Slovak fine arts – is the first in this prestigious gallery Uzhgorod – is preceded by the opening of the Forum of European cross-border dialogue on cross-border cooperation, organized by the Government of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Consulate General of Slovakia and the Regional branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Uzhgorod, which will begin its work in Next Wednesday – November 25,.
